Length of metal portion of channel is 16", 1/2" wide, 5/8" channel depth. Top nylon guide is 1-1/4" in length, 1-1/8" wide at tabs Bottom nylon guide is 1-1/14" in in length, 1-1/8" wide at tabs Overall length of balance is 17". spring carridge for a single hung vinyl window.

Series 385 Channel Balances vs Series 380 Channel Balances
Only different between these 2 parts is the bottom and it's a 3/32 different. I think my part is the 385 series. If I'm not sure, should I error on the smaller size and choose the 380 or error on the larger size and choose 385 ? Lastly, the 16 inch balance, what is the normal weight support ? I ... (cont.)

14 2 DT CMC 2 Channel Balances
I have Milgard windows and need new balances. The old ones have an ink stamp that reads 14 2 DT CMC 2. They are 16 inches long and it looks like the 19-005 top matches along with 15-005 shoe. Which balance would work? Thank you, Curt

1540 balance = what "series"?
So my window just fell out of its tracks... And since the balances are broken at the plastic clips, I'm assuming that must be the reason? I do see 1540 printed on the balance, but I can't tell what "series" that equates to. While other companies have 1540s readily available, they don't really say ... (cont.)

What does the hook in my channel balance attach to?
Hello: Does the hook in the channel ballance just hook into the oval hols in my window sash or so I need attach some type of plastic hook on my sash to catch the chennel ballance? I have a 16" series 380 balance with stamp "1540X" and a 28" Series 380 balance with stamp "2730Z". Are the replacements simply "1540" and "2730" respectively?
