39-362 Andersen Casement Operator Adapter Plate

I don't know when my window units were manufactured. Can you tell me what the adapter does so I can try to figure out whether I need it or not?

This is a c-9400-1 per 1998 installed in 1997. Other marking include F-9300-8 B. And on the arm is stamped date code 4-08-96 and the number 1361399. Thank you for your time James

does the adapter plate change the 4.5 inch dimension in the photo attached so that I can use the 39-264?

One window crank says Anderson. I do not know if it is original or a replacement

Hi, I've gathered that this part is discontinued and that there is an adapter that matches the hole pattern, but I can't find a crank with the same arm configuration. Thanks, Matt
