I have a Jeld-Wen window that we purchased around 2006. The window will open but won't stay up. The springs are there but the metal part that is attached to the bottom right and left of the window is broken. It goes into the hole at th3 end of the spring assembly. Current Spiral Balance is 3/8 inches by 23 inches long and weighs 13 pounds. What colored tip should I look for to replace the broken balance.

I have carefree windows from 1999. It appears my pivot stops have failed, prolly due to operator error. I can't get the spirals to stay attached to the pivot block. Are there replacement blocks I can get.

I need to order two black tip spiral balances for a better bilt window. I will also need a tension tool item 75006. The vinyl casing is 35 inches long and the windows were installed in 1994. I understand the actual replacement of shoe & balance is the same, however, I am unclear as to where to locate the shoe and do you add the same amount of tension, etc? Hi all,I've removed the spirals, and show them in the pictures. Also one picture shows the mounting for the bottom of the spiral to attach to. They look like they are destroyed. The window assist are broken, the lead keepers are busted out of holders that help lift window. One picture shows the lead keeper holding the rods which are connected to slide. Hoping you can help me out, thank you Don
