75-006 Spiral Balance Charging Tool for Tilt Windows

You sell two different types of charging tools. Are they both for spiral balances used with tilt windows? Can either one be used for Patriot Window spiral balances?

I'm looking for replacement parts for my Alcoa windows that were installed when the home was built new around 1996. The windows are white and the spiral balances have a white casing. I've attached a couple of pictures, but I'm not sure what series/model windows I have.

I have several windows where the pivot shoes have broken and the spiral balance has come detached from the shoe. I have attached a few pictures. Between the 75-006 and the 75-033, are they both used for the same purpose. They both say for Tilt Windows. Is one better or easier to use than the other? Thanks

Spiral balances need to be charge after installing them into a window. Charging simply means rotating the spiral part of the balance a couple of times to strengthen the pull of the balance. I recently purchased a 2 family house. I identified the window balances as the 600 series spiral balance. It just seems strange to me that none of the windows will stay up in the entire house! I just got your "spiral charger" for my tilt windows. Here is what I have to work with: Each sash weighs 23lbs. There are TWO 5/8 spirals on each side for both the top and bottom (total 8 spirals for each window). TOP sashes are 4pcs 5/8" x 20" "red" BOTTOM sashes are 5/8" x 22" "blue" Thes ... (cont.)

You will have to charge the balances, I usually give the spiral three to four turns to start. I then take precaution by trying the window sash to see if it will operate properly. Then I adjust it accordingly, adding more turns as needed.

I am currently replacing spiral balances that keep breaking. They have a red tip, should I buy a stronger grade, Possibly blue tip, to stop them from breaking so easily?
