75-069 Jamb Spreader Set

Is a quantity 1 of 75-069 Jamb Spreader a pair, or do I need to order a quantity of 2? If the latter, are 2 really required (as in the video)? Also, most of my pivot shoes broke within the first 2 years of when the house was new. Are these replacements any better? Thanks.

To remove and replace pivot lock shoes: For the lower inner sash there should be a cut out at the top of the jamb-slot, it may be behind the sash stop, if not cut to slide the pivot lock shoe out/in. The metal coil broke on both sides of the lower of a double hung window. I can figure out the part I need on your site (series 180, 6lb coil)but I can't see how to remove the bottom part of the mechanism (the rest of the coil encased in plastic) from the side channel of the frame. I see that you have replacement coils for window balances. I have dozens of broken acme coil balances. How do I take them apart ? Do you sell the entire balance ? How do I determine the width of the coil band ?
