The balances are metal casings with springs and strings inside of them. The metal measures 29 3/4 long with the plastic tips on top and bottom it measures 31 inches in length the width is 5/8 inch. I was wondering if I could get parts to replace the string arrangement on sash window. The window weighs 7.5 lbs, the metal part measures 18". I have a Milgard Window that needs 2 complete balance kits, 2 metal take out clips and 2 rubber window stops (see pics). The window label refers to window model H-LC25-48x78. I can't find the take out clips for my window. I see one hole above the sash, but don't I need two holes for a take out clip? The only other hole is a single hole much higher up on the sash.

Thanks for posting. I'm afraid I'm not quite sure what it is you're asking for. A channel balance shoe is specifically the attachment at the bottom of the metal channel. What you're showing us in the picture is a Top Sash Guide. Top Sash Guides fit into the top of the window sash and keep the channe ... (cont.)

I provided pictures of the bottom corners of the window, measurements of anything on the window or the casing that I could think of, but alas, there is no balance to compare to for replacement. What is your recommendation for my next step?
