Seeking replacement parts for an 1998 Empire Pacific Industries Patio Glass Slider Door handle. The exterior handle (lower section) is tearing, thus the handle is bending off. Looking for the correct mortise lock for Silverline door. I took a picture of the door frame product info. The info I have read is leading me to the 82-218 or 82-243 which I believe are the same but the -243 is stainless. Thanks in advance

When you turn the locking mechanism, the mortise latch is not coming out of the end of the door to catch. Should the mortise latch be replaced?
