S900-28 28" Series 900 Spiral Balance

I need 3 of these balances, but am unsure of which color tip is needed. Are there any other parts needed for install? Thank you!!

Hi, I'm not able to identify which spiral balance and pivot shoe replacement type to use as there is no color coding for the existing one. The current spiral balance is 28" long and 3/8" wide. I removed both spiral balances and with both I can easily wind them up by hand, so I guess both are shot? Cannot really see a tip color, but possibly are black. Length is 28" and diameter is 3/8". I have these 3/8" x 1 7/8" pivot shoes with number marking 200-794. Your 15-045 shoe is listed as 1" wide, however my measurement of the old show is 15/16" Do you have a shoe that is 15/16" wide. Im wondering how much a aluminum window weighs. I need to buy new spiral balances for one of my windows. It is a tilt window. measures roughly 35.75" X 53.25". Any thoughts on what tip color I should go with? I know I need a balance that is 3/8" diameter and 28" long but my current balance does not ... (cont.)

We have 9 ea ply gem single hung aluminum windows. They all need tilt balance replacement parts (18 in total). All windows are the same size. I did my bees at identifying the part and found this one to be the one I think is the correct one: S900-28, yellow tip. I have a few questions before placing ... (cont.)

28" window balance.

I have a 3/8 diameter tension rod. Series 900 is what I'm looking at to replace. My rod has a blue tip and is 28-1/2, I see you have 28 or 29 as size options. Which should I get? Thanks Jeremy

I have a red tipped, 3/8" diameter, spiral balancer (x2 for one window). When measuring the length of of the both metal tubes, I am exactly in between your available selections of 28" and 29", I measured the metal only portion and get exactly 28 1/2". I bought a replacement 28" series 900 spiral balance for my window. I measured the broken one and it is 28". When I put the new one in, the spring portion pops out of the casing when I shut the window all the way down. What does that mean? Wrong size? Do I need to put the mounting screw in little l ... Replacing 10 window balances for 5 windows. First attempt followed all the steps from videos and closed window. On both sides the spring/balance disconnected from cylinder. That would make me think that the size was off but the sizes match up. S900 series 28 inch red tip. Not sure what to do from ... (cont.)

The spring on the inside of this rod is broken. We need to find out what part it would be please. The rod is 28 inches long. Rod is not quite 1/4" in diameter. Thank you.
