Hi, I just bought the house and discovered some window problems. I don't know the window brand, but I suspect Ashland. Sir, I have spiral balancers on my tilt in windows, two to each side. The window would not stay up. All I found was the plastic insert at the top of the inner spring/tube, the one the anchor screw goes through, the hole had broken out. Need spiral balances and shoes for 20 sashes.Note in the pictures that the balances have a white plastic covering. I want to replace the spiral coil springs in my MW windows (installed in 2000). The channel is 1 and 1/4 inch wide. The lower sash weighs 19 pounds. This is my second post to you today since some of my MW windows spring balances and others have spiral coil balances.

I am looking at replacing some broken balances and some shoes. I am attaching pictures of 2 that have broken and taken off. Best I can tell they are 3/8" in diameter.
