I wanted to make sure that I have the correct length of 28 inches for the new 795 balance. From top clip to bottom of the bottom sash is 59 inches. The old balance measured at 28.25.

Window balance imploded while wifey tried to force it open. Identifier stamped on reads 28D KK5 CMC.

I also have channel balance 34A 108E on it with same hook as the 28B pictured above. Also have 32B with no other markings that need to be replaced with the same hook as well. I ordered a shoe that matches what was previously installed but it doesn't fit into the balance. My current one seems to have a more narrow hook part (which is what broke) to fit. I looked at ordering new balances but mine have a hook at the top which I was unable to find...

I think I'm on the right track but would like confirmation.I have client with windows that have missing and failed balances and they appear to be the crossbow type with 1" T shoes (see pics) I am intending to order the 795 series based on collapsed measurement from T to top of block/tackle and weigh ... Greetings, Purchased a 10yr old Ryan Homes and two of the window balances (one broken on each window) have broken cams in which the entire balance remains at the top of the window frame. I do not have holes to place the removal clips (sp?) so therefore, unsure on how to remove sashs to get balance ... (cont.)

One of my windows has a broken balancer and needs replacement. The window slides up and down and has the ability to tilt inward.
