How and where do you measure to determine what size shoe to purchase?

I believe these are your S850 model replacements, the black shoe seems smaller than the 1 1/4 inch option on your website. The white connectors were busted up.

I have double hung windows with the series 850 type shoe. The lower sash rod measures 28.25" and the upper 24". The plastic blocks on the top of the rods have broken and I assume I need to replace the entire system. There are no markings on the hardware that I can see. I would estimate that the ... (cont.)

I have a window in need of a new channel balance. Turns out the builder (Beazer) hid a repair and glued the top plastic pulley housing piece and fitted a non-riveted pin to hold the spring where it hooks to the bottom of the channel. This window sash promptly broke after we moved in almost 10 years ... (cont.)

The builder of our house can't find the original records, but believes that our windows were manufactured by Alenco (TX) or Silverline (NJ). We need a bunch of balance clips and a handful of sash tilt mechanisms. Can you identify by the attached photos?
