The metal piece is 3" long 1/4" wide. The groove inside is 1/8" wide. The metal piece fits in the white plastic, which was at the bottom of the window. The window does pivot out to clean. A screw goes thru it into a "U" channel that goes into a pivot locking shoe. Only used on the upper sash windows.

I do not have any information on the double pane pivot window; so I am hoping the picture will help to locate the bar I need. Thank you, Frank

There are no names or numbers on the bar, nor on the window. I purchased the window about 15 years ago at Lowe's or Home Depot..It is about 2 5/8 inches long with three screw holes.James K

I need a replacement balancer and tilt bar with plastic housing. The bar has sheared due to rust and I?m unable to remove it from the shoe.

Photo shows old corroded bar that I drilled out and a newer matching bar from another window. Both are 1/4 wide, 3/16 high, 3 long. Your 26-040 ,26-068 ,26-040 and 26-068 look close but have only one screw hole. Suggestion? Thanks.
