Hello, I have CARADCO 716 windows - home built in early 1990's A few windows, when opening them, do not stay "in place", they slide down unwanted. The top that hooks to the spring is broken off and missing.

For Caradco double hung Heritage or Car-Clad windows, early 90's. pictures are the balance tracks that have these pieces that connect the bottom of the spring to the peg in the bottom side of the window. The groove that they slide in is 1/2" x 1/2", the pieces themselves measure 7/16 wide by 1/2" ... (cont.)

Our home was built in 1995. I believe the broken part holds one end of the spring for the bottom pane of the window. The window will not stay in an open position, it immediately slides/slams down.

As you can see in the pictures the spring retaining hook on the plastic shoe broke off. I have no idea what brand of window it is.

It is the window spring balance system on what I think is a Vetter window. As shown in the photos the entire piece can be removed from the window frame. Have some windows that don't stay all the way open. I dont think I can replace just the spring.

I have two springs that have sprung on two windows. The plastic/hook Tab has broken off causing the spring to shoot all the way to the top. I am looking to replace the plastic assembly or to replace the whole spring assembly for each window.

In the pictures it displays the broken balance clip. It is the one piece with 2 holes in it and window cannot attach to clip which is part of the balance spring. The window won't stay open because without balance spring it won't stay open attached to window. In photos there are 2 photos with clip ... (cont.)
