This is a shoe (broken, searching for) of sorts that receives the pin of a tilt out sash. It doesn't appear to be a locking shoe. This piece rides in the jam liner. The bottom hole receives the pin from the sash, the top plastic loop (broken) receives the coil spring balance, the red screw I believe adjusts the pressure. Anyone know where I can get these

I have three double hung Hurd windows in my home that have two to four broken springs. My house was built in 1991 and they are original with the house. Aluminum clad windows. The windows appear to be double hung (I have never tried to move the upper sash). There is a 3.5" wide vinyl channel/sash guide with integrated spring balances. The guide portion is 5/8"x5/8". Hi - these windows are original from a house built in 1992. The plastic guides that attach to the spring are broken. I have a few windows like this around the house. Double hung windows - 20 years old. When I unlock the window, the top sash immediately falls approx 4-6 inches on many of the windows. Do I adjust the friction shoe by turning the screw clockwise ? Thank you. Mark

looked for like an hour --- no part numbers on any frame, glass, or any other part front or back. These are (I suspect) pressure shoes, they attach to the frame with an actual sprint , like 30" in length. The part that the spring attached to on the shoe is sheared off. I cannot find any markings on the the windows whatsoever. These pieces fit into the bottom of the sash (is that the right word? the square with the glass in it)and hook onto a spring that attaches at the top of the window opening. Trying to mend them has not proven successful. They are at least 25 ... (cont.)

Hi: We have a caradco windows in our home. One window has a broken channel balance. The bottom hole that accepts the window pin broke off (near #10 in the picture). Is this something you can replace? Thanks, Bob

Can you see if this part is available through your company. I can not find it online. The end has broken off, so there is a plastic, hook shaped end. sorry I don't have a good shot of that piece. Karrie

I can find no markings to ID the type of window or parts... House is 20 years old (1993) and these are Tilt Windows.

I removed the two sashes from one of my windows to determine what parts I would need to repair. Window will not stay open. I removed the white plastic part from the spring. How does this part attach to the window? Thanks Dennis

I am looking for friction shoe replacement. Your clutch pin looks like my one. Can you please have a look on my photos and let me now if it is the same. Please can you explain me how I replace it. Thanks a lot. Victor.
