Hello, I have a 1995 Commodore manufactured home with Care Free vinyl windows. They are single hung, top sash fixed, bottom sash tiltable, with 3/8" red spiral balances. I didn't remove and measure everything, but hoping this might be sufficient to identify the correct parts: Balances and shoes and ... (cont.)

Is this combo anything your research department is familiar with? From a large older vinyl double hung window.

Need to replace this pivot shoe. Spiral balance is colored red. Am not finding a cutout to remove pivot shoe. Is that common? Do I make a cutout near the top of the channel? Thank you, Bernie

Just measured the tubes on a customer's spiral balances that need to be replaced. The tubes are 3/8" diameter and the length is 17 and 1/4 inches. Blue tip. Can I order series 900 17" balances or do I need to order up to the nearest inch ie: 18" balances. Thanks for your help.

The windows are at least 20 years old. AlSide Geneva double hung tilt-in. I have plenty of pivot rods. I just included the image to show how it locks into the shoe. I cut the vinyl per your video to remove the Pivot shoe. It measures 9/16" deep thick until you get to the pivot point then it is 5/ ... (cont.)

Hello, my house has spiral balancers on the double-hung windows, 30" long and ~3/8" diameter. However, we have plantation shutters installed on the inside, so that while I can get the movable frame to the top of the window frame, pull the releases in and have the top edge tip out, it hits the shutte ... I don't have much information to share, beyond the photos. I find no marking on the windows. I know they are about 20-years-old because they are original to the house, which we had built near Grand Rapids, Michigan.

I believe that it is a 3/8 diameter 36 inch balance. The clips on both side have rusted off. The balance on one side needs to be tightened.
