Looking for 2 28-50 ribbed balance rods with these ends that go with these ends

28" x 7/16" x 7/16" ribbed metal balancer. Stamped 28b. Thought the windows were from jeld-wen but balancer from them has shoe and channel that is too wide to fit as channel in window frame is only 7/16" wide and they sent parts that are 9/16" wide. Hi!My channel balance and tilt shoe got separated and I cannot insert the shoe into the channel. My questions are:What is the replacement kit?I do not have a slot to insert the shoe. Can I cut it out at top or bottom?Currently, the window is sliding to the very top.Francis

The Unique window balance went out of business in the late 1990's but we do believe we can help. May we see the another balance and pivot shoe in the window track and the pivot bar on the bottom of the sash, so we can come up with a replacement?

We have many windows in our house with broken window channel pieces like those in the photos. I believe the company that made the windows went bankrupt....not surprising given the number of failures in my house. I would like to get the replaced if possible. Thoughts???

Hello, The balance shoes for couple of my windows have snapped off, and since the company is no longer making these shoes, my understanding is that I will have to replace the balance with new shoes.
