15-157 CertainTeed Balance Drum

Hi. We can't find SA 3610 on any of your coil springs for our Certainteed windows. The windows are about 15 years old. What spring would be the equivalent? Thx for the help.

I have a double pained, double hung window that suffered a broken coil spring. The spring is 3/4 inches wide, and the window is about 30 x 30. It is a Certainteed window installed about 20 years ago. Thanks in advance, Dave Hope

Thanks for the post! Can you please send pictures of an intact pivot shoe on the opposite side? It's hard to tell which pivot shoe it is since the shoe is broken. The attached pix show the left side coil balance which is still intact, and the right side mechanism which is broken and is laying on the window sill. I have 3 ea, 4040 double hung, Newcastle Series, Dual Glaze Low-E Clear Glass windows. Purchased in 2006. Had been receiving replacement balance springs SA336 for springs that continually break. Good afternoon Try to replace the 2 window balancers shown in the photo.. Window in question is 24"x 33".. I cant seem to find any numbers on the coils themselves. Any way you can point me in the right direction?? Thanks

It's for a Certainteed Window The Pringle's shoe does have any visible numbers on it but it is pictured. The Spring corner says H8637MXX, the roller or retainer behind it say H8638MXX. The spring coil has the #500 printed on it. It a good size window bottom sash is 35 7/8 x 32 1/16. Another question ... (cont.)

I asked this question on another page but can't find it now to give you more info. I found printed on the spring 408L. There is a number 7 molded into one of the shoes so I'm not sure if it is a 7 lb or an 8 lb? I assume the 140?

Called and spoke to Mike earlier on the balance coils (both sides)for a Simonton 5000 series Vinyl window. I have some pics attached part number on the coil is 4055 most likely no help. If these are not good enough let me know what you need to see. Thanks, TomR

Hi, Can you tell who the manufacturer of the window is by the attached pictures. A spring on the upper window broke and also the stop on the lower. Not sure if these are universal parts, or I need to order by manufacturer? I have the actual part (broken) at home... Thanks!

Thanks for writing in. This looks like our 15-192 Pivot Shoe. This shoe is compatible with our Series 170 and Series 171 Coil Springs. If you had more than one coil spring per side, the Series 171 stacks on top of the Series 170. The stamp '408' indicates that is likely a S170-408, which a coil spri ... (cont.)

Here is a picture of my coil spring balance on my window. It is a single coil that is 3/4 inch wide. The only number marked on it is 10. Would this indicate a 10 lb spring? Since it is only a single coil would I need a short coil? Also, this is for a single hung window. Any other information t ... (cont.)

Both coil balance springs broke on a Certainteed double hung window. The only number I see stamped on the coil is 10. Is there a Model S170-410? or will a S170-409 be compatible. GM

As you see in the photos, the plastic piece is broken. I am looking for a replacement. It is off of a Norandex/Reynolds window 33 x 43 1/2 Prism Platinum White Double Hung Window..
