I have a tilt window and the window does not stay open when lifted. In addition window does not sit in the base of the frame. I measured the bar piece and it is 29" long. What other pieces do I need to orderthank you,Marlene

I ordered 28 series 900 balances, but they are not a good fit. (order 1009692). I will have to return them. What do you suggest?

Outer plastic tube is 9/16" diameter and 29" long. Balance is coiled metal with blue tip (sash weighs 16 lbs). Length from top end of balance is 28&1/4" - but length measured from screw hole is 28". The pivot shoe is 5/8? deep. The springs are around 30?. I think you can see the other dimensions in my photos. Hope you can help us. Pat
