S160-06 6.5 lbs Series 160 Coil Balance

Would like complete assemblies if available. Otherwise,I need two coil balance springs. Only numbers I can see in the plastic is a patent # 4.610.108. Also a number on the coil is 6 or a 9? Window sash is 22.5"x 22.5"x 1.5" thick. Window channel is 1.25" wide.

On the broken balance, I see Patent #'s 5.232.208 - 5.365.638 - 6.584.644. Pictures are from a similar window where the balance is working fine. Do you know what this part is?

I have two Simonton Windows with broken coil springs that need replacing. A rep asked me how thick is my shoe. It's a little less than a half inch. Thickness is .530 and the width is 1.209 and the sash height is 18 in.These windows are only about 12 years old I don't know why these shoes broke. One broke then the other one, together.Thanks for your help ... (cont.)

Hi Not sure if I need 6 or 9 strength coils With the hole at the bottom it reads 6 but the shoe had 18 marked on it I'm in the UK and coil springs are pretty unusual over here only seen a few in 20 years but want to attempt this repair,from your site they look like s152 coils Thanks greg ... What should we reorder? Metal coil is 1/2" wide and has the numbers 246D Z with a 1 under the D and #6.5 354.The gray shoe is 1/2" deep, 1" in length and 1 1/4" wide and has Patent 4,610,108. Window appears to have been forcibly removed shearing off the springs to the window balance. Balance body and shoe appear undamaged.The springs are marked as 6.5 x 35, and #7.5 x 35" respectively.I need the two sets of springs to repair this window balance.Please advise.James

I need to find a replacement.

The coils have w6.5 35" and the other has a number 4 on it, it is a half inch wide. I will new coils,coil supports,pivot shoe and pivot bars if required.

Im trying to find the spring balance assembly parts for a Simonton Window. Also had a questino on removing the plastic part at the top as itis onger than the cutout in the window frame.

This broken spring on the window I am trying repair does not have a calibration number. How do I select the correct one?

Hi always relying on Swisco as have several small unit properties and need help identifying replacement parts. See attached photo of coil spring unfoiled. I am going to need 2 2-coil units for a tilt out single hung window. The old units were pretty completely destroyed removing them. I think I need 2 15-150 D units and 4 S160 series springs. I need 1 left and 1 right balancer/shoes. Is the #6.5 stamped on the end of the coil spring mean the size? See attached photo.Thank you.Alan
